Nutrimart's roots reach back to 1994 when Egon began his business by selling supplements in his brother's Sports Collectible Store in Downtown San Diego. Nutrimart soon experienced a growing clientele and demand for increased product selection. In 2001, Egon and Debora married, and together they moved the business to its current location on 7th Avenue in Downtown.
Open since August of 2004, our Hillcrest location has been a great success thanks to our customers. We have had the wonderful opportunity to become a part of this vibrant community by participating and contributing to many of Hillcrest's ongoing events.
In October 2005, we opened our third store in Rancho San Diego. We are conveniently located at the nexus of Rancho San Diego, Spring Valley, and La Mesa in the Rancho San Diego Village Shopping Center by 24 Hour Sport at Highway 94 and Avocado Blvd. With ample free parking and a wide selection of other stores and restaurants, shopping at our new Nutrimart location will be an enjoyable experience.
In Late October 2008, we were blessed with the opportunity to open a small show room. This store front is located in the front of our new warehouse to better serve our customers in the Irvine area. We welcome all those in the Orange County area to see for yourselves many of the unadvertised specials we offer to walkin traffic.
In early August 2010, we opened our 5th store located on the corner of Navajo Rd and Golfcrest- most notably noted for it's across the street proximity to the entrance of Cowles Mountain. This location is sure to bring customers from near and afar as many of San Diego's avid atletes come to walk and run the mountain and enjoy San Diego's finest scenic views from atop.
In addition, August 2010 also proved to be the month in which we unveiled our latest concept stores, Nutrimart Express. We will continue to expand our presence and serve customers in both smoothie/sandwich shops as well as within many local gyms. These small stores will conveniently carry a variety of Nutrimart's most popular product lines.
November 1st will mark yet another milestone for Nutrimart San Diego's success as we will open our 7th retail store-the first of many planned to be located in shopping malls! Nutrimart El Cajon will be located in the Parkway Plaza Westfield Shopping Mall adjacent to both Crunch Fitness and Dick's Sporting Goods. This location is conveniently located just off highway 8 and Johnson Avenue. Come by and take advantage of the mall's offerings as well as our everyday values on all major national brands that we are known for!
April 1st 2013 is the date of our expansion into the southern area of San Diego. We are located on the corner of Otay Lakes Rd and East H Street in the Ralph's shopping center. We are excited to finally serve the South and look forward to showing you even more product selection inclusive of body building supplements, vitamins, plant based specialty items, probiotics , enzymes, herbs and fish oils .
Shortly after, we are due to open yet another concept store; Nutrimart Cafe. Clients will be offered our most popular selling supplements in addition to smoothies, teas, coffees, fruit bowls and even fresh sushi! We are due to open in National City-within LA FITNESS by the end of April 2013. Come in and get your supplements and a quick snack or lunch too!
